    Food Festival

    Hey Academy!

Our annual Food Festival is on Wednesday, April 2nd, from 2-3 PM in the Cafeteria. This is an excellent opportunity to spend time with your friends and try foods from all different cultures worldwide. If you want to purchase a ticket for the event, find a student government member or come by room 111 during period 9. Tickets cost $5. We hope to see you there!

Those who donate a dish can receive up to 5 hours of community service and free entry to the event. If you want to donate a cultural dish, please complete our Google form by Monday March 31st. On the day of the event, please drop off your dish with a list of ingredients during periods 1-3.

Free American History Courses For High School Students - Sponsored by Gilder Lehrman

GILDER LEHRMAN FLAGSHIP HIGH SCHOOL

The Academy was the first American history high school in the country  created in 1996 with the cooperation and partnership of the Queens High Schools Superintendency and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. We are recognized as the flagship high school of the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American history and the institute has taken the model of the Academy and duplicated it all across the country.

FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

You do not need to apply for your child to receive meals. However, we do ask families to complete the Family Income Inquiry Form which helps schools receive money for their programs. Your school will send a copy of this form home with your child, or you can get it from your school’s main office.
